SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
Safety
As one of the largest fabricators and erectors in Southern California, Anvil is dedicated to setting the standard for safe work practices. We believe that safe work practices start at the top, with our management team. With proper planning, good organization and effective implementation or our safety program, we avert many accidents. Since we take safety seriously at the top, the rest of our employees follow the example.
Safety is not an accident at any company. It takes hard work, dedication and constant vigilance. One lapse in judgment, for only a split second, can result in a fatality. It is the responsibility of ALL our employees, from executives to foreman to sweepers in the shop, to maintain a safe work environment. Simply put, our goal is to have absolutely no accidents – ever. To achieve that goal, we need participation by all of our employees.
Employee participation begins with training. We provide numerous training programs to our employees, including:
- 8 and 30 hour OSHA training for all our Project Managers, Superintendents and Foreman
- Forklift and Aerial Lift training to all field hands
- Weekly tailgate meetings
- Shop rigging and crane operation training
Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is what has made our company what it is today. Our sales have grown 12 fold over the last 10 years because of our quality assurance program. We have fewer errors and therefore fewer delays than our competition. Our quality assurance program excels well beyond the capabilities of our competition because:
- Our Quality Assurance Program has been certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction – the strictest of all quality control certifications
- Quality control personnel, including managers and inspectors, have at least 25 years of experience in the steel business
- We invested heavily in automated fabrication systems, using computer aided design, to eliminate human error in cutting, layout, and drilling steel
